HOW TO GET A FLAT ABDOMEN, IF DIET AND EXERCISE

In some cases diet and exercise can only do so much and surgery may be the only option available that can really transform your abdomen.

Your abdomen is affected with each year that passes (including skin, muscle-tone and fat)

Mini Tummy Tuck

Recommended to those patients with no laxity or only laxity in the muscle below the belly button. Requires a small, short incision at or above the pubic area that stretches a few inches across the lower abdomen. This procedure shapes the stomach by tightening the lower muscles that have become slack before excess skin is removed. Recovery is somewhat easier than a regular tummy tuck.

Traditional Tummy Tuck

Traditional Tummy Tuck procedure is performed when the patient has excess skin on top of and below the belly button. Muscles are tightened and excess skin is removed. The remaining skin is stretched down. Scars vary in size but will most likely be hidden when you’re wearing a bikini or underwear.

Liposuction

Liposuction procedure is a relatively quick procedure and it is very popular for treating excess fat in the stomach. Not everyone is an ideal candidate for liposuction to the abdomen. Small incisions, about 3 or 4 millimeters long, are made by the plastic surgeon. Using a cannula, excess fatty deposits are removed in order to sculpt and shape the stomach. In addition to the stomach, the love handles, hips and waist all respond well to liposuction, giving away to a more streamlined look.

As you can see, Tummy Tuck procedure is only the one of few effective procedures that can give you the flat abdomen you desire. And if that’s your goal, then schedule a free consultation with Dr Perez-Gurri and find out what procedure is right for you.
