In a breast augmentation study done in May of 2013, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons documented 225 women over a 5-year period. The purpose of the study was to determine the level of patient satisfaction with their breast augmentations. According to the study, 98% of the women were very satisfied with their results!
Their average age of the women involved in the study was 34. Approximately 13% of the women said they wished they’d had larger implants placed, while 85% said their choice of implant size was just right for them. Most of the subjects received saline-filled implants that were placed under the muscle. This is interesting considering 72% of all breast augmentations in 2013 used silicone.
