Reclaim a Better Bust with a Breast Lift with Augmentation at Imagos Plastic Surgery

What do your ideal breasts look like? Life can have an unfortunate effect on the body, and for women, this is especially true of the breasts. Pregnancy, breastfeeding, weight loss, and age are just a few reasons why the breasts you see now are not the ideal breasts you imagine when asked that question. If you’re like many of our patients, qualities like perkiness and fullness are at the top of your priorities list.

Breast lift with augmentation (also referred to as a breast lift with implants) with a board-certified plastic surgeon (Dr. Perez-Gurri or Dr. Onelio Garcia) in Miami, FL, can provide women with the ability to increase their breast size while also providing the breasts with a much-needed lift to resolve any skin laxity or sagging. This combination of treatments is one of our most popular breast enhancement procedures after pregnancy or weight loss.

What Is a Breast Lift with Augmentation?

A breast lift with implants is a combination of two popular breast procedures: breast augmentation and breast lift. Patients get the best of both procedures, creating a dramatic, overall transformation for the breast.

Breast augmentation: In breast augmentation, your surgeon will place a saline or silicone implant into each of your breasts to increase their size and shape. The implants come in many sizes, allowing you to customize your breast augmentation to a size that fits your aesthetic goals and lifestyle. Breast implants remain in place until you choose to have them removed. Until then, they’ll continue to provide long-lasting improvements to your breasts’ size and shape.

Breast lift: A breast lift is a procedure that corrects one of the biggest breast-related complaints: breast sagging. A breast lift repositions the breast tissue to a higher placement on the chest wall and restores a youthful breast shape. This treatment specifically targets skin laxity due to pregnancy and weight change.

What Are the Benefits of a Breast Lift with Implants in Miami, FL?

Balanced, Cohesive body Shape

Breast augmentation surgery can help to create balance amongst your features and accentuate your curves. You can choose your ideal breast size by selecting your breast implants size. Larger breasts can also help to provide a slimmer, more defined hourglass shape.

Lifted, youthful breasts

Pregnancy and breastfeeding can stretch the breast tissue leaving them with a deflated look once your children are weaned. It can be incredibly difficult to hide or fake a breast lift, especially in clothing like tank tops, bathing suits, or dresses. Breast lift with augmentation can restore the perky, beautifully rounded breasts of your youth.

Restore Your Confidence

Many mothers, or women in general, are self-conscious about their deflated breasts, especially when wearing certain types of clothing. Breast lift with augmentation can restore a woman’s self-confidence and sexuality in her body shape by allowing them to wear clothes they may not have felt comfortable in before.

Correct Sagging and Volume

Many women feel that they have to choose between breast augmentation and a breast lift, but some are recommended to undergo both surgeries simultaneously. The advantage of having both procedures is there is only one operative session, saving money, downtime, and effort.

GalaFLEX Mesh Internal Bra for Breast Lift with Implants

An additional benefit of choosing to undergo a breast lift with augmentation at Imagos Plastic Surgery is their use of the GalaFLEX Mesh internal bra with breast implants. The GalaFLEX mesh bra is an internal bra used by plastic surgeons that helps support, elevate, and reinforce the placement of the implants and breast tissue.

FDA-approved GalaFLEX mesh is made from a high-strength, bioresorbable biopolymer that, over 1 to 2 years, will be safely absorbed by the body. These strong and durable fibers provide the perfect support for holding the implants and breast tissue in place while patients heal and adjust to their new breast profile. In addition, the biocompatible nature of the polymer means there’s little to no risk of rejection or allergic reaction.

What to Expect from a Breast Lift with Augmentation Using GalaFLEX Mesh?

To begin, an incision is made around the areola and down toward the center of the inframammary fold. The skin is then separated from the breast mass, allowing your surgeon to insert the GalaFLEX Mesh piece, which is pre-trimmed to fit your breast size and shape. Next, the mesh is sutured to your chest cavity to support and lift the breast implant. Your surgeon will make the necessary adjustments to address excess skin before closing the breasts with precise suturing.

Breast Lift with Augmentation Results Using GalaFLEX Mesh

GalaFLEX mesh delivers long-lasting results for women who require extra breast lift support. You’ll be able to see the difference in the shape and position of your breasts soon after your surgery, and your results will continue to improve as swelling and bruising decrease. In just a few months, your final results will be visible, and you’ll be able to enjoy your youthful and rejuvenated look.

Breast Lift with Augmentation FAQ

At Imagos, we offer two of the most popular breast implant types: silicone implants and saline implants. Each breast implant type offers unique benefits. During your consultation, we can speak with our experts to learn more about which one we recommend specifically for you.

  • Silicone Breast Implants: Silicone breast implants are made of a silicone-based gel. These implants are known to feel the most like natural breast tissue. There are three manufactories of silicone breast implants, including Sientra®, Mentor®, and Allergan®. We have found that silicone gel implants are generally the most popular choice amongst our patients.
  • Saline breast implants: Saline breast implants are filled with a sterile saline solution. Saline implants tend to feel firmer than silicone implants. The firmness of the implant can be slightly adjusted by the surgeon during surgery for more precise results. The implants can be placed through a small incision, and if they leak, the body will absorb the solution easily. The downside to saline implants is they can sometimes ripple or look and feel less natural than silicone implants.

Dr. Perez-Gurri uses two types of incision methods when it comes to breast augmentations:

  • Inframammary incision: This type of incision involves a small incision in the crease beneath the breast, also referred to as the breast fold. This 1-to-2-inch scar is popular due to its discreet positioning.
  • Areola incisions: Also called the periareolar incision, the areolar incision is placed around the areola, which is the dark area around the nipple. While not as commonly used, the areolar incision is appropriate for certain patients.
