SOME COMMON
CONCERNS
One of the reasons why microneedling has become so popular is because practically every healthy adult is going to be a good candidate. As long as you don’t have any serious skin problems, this procedure could be an excellent option. With microneedling, we can treat fine lines and wrinkles around the forehead, eyes, nose, and mouth. This procedure can also be used to treat old surgical scars, acne scars, hyperpigmentation, and other surface imperfections.
In addition to being a non-invasive treatment, microneedling is also incredibly effective. Dermal fillers and Botox treatments can be very effective as well, but some patients would like to avoid those types of products. With microneedling, your blemishes are going to disappear as your body repairs your skin through its natural healing process. The results can also last for a very long time as long as you continue to protect your skin and occasionally schedule follow-up treatments.
Just as with any other cosmetic procedure, it is important to remember that every patient will have slightly different results. That being said, the vast majority of patients begin to notice improvements within just a few weeks of the initial procedure. For the full results of your microneedling session, you might need to wait as long as six weeks. You won’t notice the final results until your skin has fully healed and the fresh collagen has flooded the treatment site.
During each microneedling session, you might feel some pressure or a slight stinging sensation, but those side effects tend to be very mild. For patients who are nervous about discomfort, we invite you to speak with our team about all of your options for anesthetics. We want to do everything in our power to make sure that you remain as comfortable as possible throughout each of your appointments.
Following your treatments, you will most likely notice at least a few mild side effects. One of the most common side effects of this treatment is skin discoloration, and your skin might be slightly red for one or two days after the appointment. Some patients also experience mild swelling, but that inflammation should disappear within one or two days as well.
Even though we do everything in our power to make our treatments as affordable as possible, we understand that some of these procedures can be major investments. If you have finally decided that microneedling is for you, then we would love to speak with you about all of your financing and payment options. We want to ensure that you remain happy and confident, and our team would love to help you come up with an affordable plan that lets you achieve your cosmetic goals without breaking the bank.
